Rambling weekend

We have sunshine!!! For the first time in, oh, I dunno - WEEKS! YAY! No more rain and miserableness... hopefully it lasts awhile!

Sunday afternoon, MIL & SIL came down to visit us. SIL was due back at Banana Slug U Monday afternoon. It was really nice... We went out to lunch for Japanese on Sunday. Then, for a walk around the wharf, etc... it started to rain, but let up as we were walking back home.

Then, we came back here and hung out for a bit. We decided I would make pasta and we would play some Texas Hold 'Em. Fun times! :) We killed a bottle of wine and talked, and talked.... we started talking about stuff the kids (Jeff and his brother - his sister is a goody-two-shoes) used to do, like coming in by curfew, and then sneaking back out later. Ha! I'm getting an alarm system so our kid(s) won't be able to pull that!

They went back to their hotel around 12:30 am, and we got up and met them for breakfast at 8:00 on Monday morning. We had to do it early, 'cause Jeff needed to go to work. Afterwards, we all (sans Jeff) went to the Tots in Motion class. It was a lot of fun to be able to introduce them to the moms I always talk about, and MIL got to spend some good 1 on 1 time with The Boy. We hung out for about an hour, and decided to hit the Tin Cannery Outlets for some shopping, and since it was raining, it was a good thing we did.

Travis slept the whole time in his jogger, and we took turns watching him so we could try on clothes. I didn't buy anything... one brand's size 14/16 is another brand's 10/12, or so it seems. Sigh.

Sadly, then they had to be on their way after a couple of hours.... :(
Travis and I went to Border's and I went through the drive-thru Starbucks and got a full-fat Caramel Macchiato with extra caramel for the first time in many, many months. It was evertything I thought it would be, and more!
