| Weekend |
| Everything is getting closer! Today we give our 30 day's notice for the house we're in now, and on the 16th we (hopefully) start the move-in on the new place. Yay! I really should start packing now... but somehow the motivation still hasn't quite kicked in. Yesterday Jeff and I went shopping. We bought the Fisher Price Papasan Swing for Travis at Babies R Us. It's awesome! I like it lots better than that Aquarium Swing. It's prettier, and cushier, and less annoying. (With the music, and such) We also bought a pair of adorable Osh Kosh Corduroy overalls. They're black, with red and cream striped flannel on the inside. When the legs are cuffed, you can see the fabric. SO cute! And a one-piece sweatshirt material outfit with a hood from Old Navy for him as well. Other than that we got clothes for ourselves, and went to Johnny Rockets for lunch. We had lots of fun. We walked a lot! My ankles were very swollen by the end of the day. We know that these are the last few weeks we'll have as two. And we can't wait until there are three of us! I made a chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie for breakfast just now, but I am still starving! |

| Poof! And then it was gone. |
| Well, we were informed yesterday that the condo is not ours. It is now on the market. So, it's back to apartment hunting for us.... Blah. Back to square one. I saw a pretty nice apartment today. Maybe it will work for us. Jeff couldn't go because he had meetings. I had Hailey today, but took her with me. We'll go back there together on Monday. Tomorrow afternoon we go look at a townhouse. We drove by at lunch today and it looks like a nice complex. We'll see what there is to see tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my last official day at work. So weird. I planned it this way so we'd have time to look for a place, pack, and move before Travis arrives. So glad I'm a planner, cause I'm going to need the extra time, or so it seems. I took Hailey to the park, and she chased the gulls with glee. She's the cutest thing ever! Later on this afternoon I fed he a rice cereal bottle, and then we both napped together, cuddled up on the couch. So sweet! I can't wait to be a mommy! |

| We have a place to live!! |
| Woohoo! That's sorta important, you know? It's the nice apartment we looked at the other day. The townhouse, as nice and modern as it was, was just too frickin small. The apartment is across from a lake, and right by a park. That will be nice, once Travis gets here. I like the apartment because it's largish, and on the corner, so it has lots of windows. The bedrooms are HUGE! We already dropped of the deposit, and stuff. So we move in about mid-Oct. I wanted to be in somewhere a little earier, but it works. (As long as Mr. "Travissmo" stays put until he's due!) So, sigh. Yay! I'm glad that stress is over with. The moving, packing, baby having stress remains, but thats positive stress. Right? |

| Getting ready! (or Holy @#%& this is really happening soon!!) |
| We bought some hangers for Travis' clothes at Target yesterday. I spent today hanging the new outfits up, and laundering the clothes with no tags. ie: eBay purchases, resale stores, new socks & blankets, and also things given to us by friends secondhand. Baby clothes are SO tiny! I fit SO many outfits into the washer, and it only filled up a medium sized load! Aww. I cannot believe that I am laundering my BABY'S clothes! It is coming so fast, I can't believe it! Travis moves so much more forecefully now. We were laying in bed this morning, and he was going to town on that spot below my right rib. He loves that spot! Jeff's hand actually got pushed up a bit from the force of his movements. As I was reading my new Parent's Magazine this afternoon in my recliner, I could see him moving around through my clothes- punching, kicking, or whatever it is that he does in there...
It's very sweet! I am getting a tiny bit anxious about the inevitable hospital trip... I have never been a patient in a hospital requiring anything more than an ER trip. I stayed overnight once, but that's when Jeff had an emergency appendectomy.
So, that will be a strange new experience! It's like a few night's stays in the most high-tech, expensive hotel on the whole Peninsula, right? :)
The BH Contractions are beginning to get on my nerves. I keep reading that they're painless. Well, they are a bit painful, or at least mine are. I feel like I'm getting squeezed really hard in my stomach, and that I have stomach cramps at the same time. Kinda when you're really gassy, but nothing is escaping. I don't like them! |

| Ticking down |
| AAH! Travis is causing seismic activity in my tummy again! I feel this BOOM! And then the side of my stomach jumps a few inches. He keeps doing it. It's very cute. Sometimes he's positioned right under my rib and it tickles and hurts at the same time. Giggle, OUCH! Giggle, OUCH! That's about how it goes. It's been HOT here the last 5 days. 80's and 90's, and for us it's unusual. We found a new place to live! A 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo in Monterey! With a POOL! It's upstairs like we wanted, and in a nice area. The bedrooms connect to the back balcony, the master by a regular door (but with screened in slats at the top to let in air but no bugs) and the smaller bedroom by a sliding glass door. We think we can do the Sat dish with a tripod so we can keep TiVo! The only downside is that kitchen is smallish, and doesn't have a dishwasher, but that's easily doable. Also, the stove and oven use GAS! I love gas stoves! The living area is nice sized, and I think we'll be perfectly happy there. Just Jeff, and me and Travis. I got a bunch of baby clothes from a girlfriend of mine, and a basinette. It's cute! We spent this weekend doing yard work in the unbearable heat, and stuff we don't like doing. Yesterday we went to Toby & Julia's for a bbq, and just hung out with them and the baby (well, Hailey is almost 1 1/2 now... more like a toddler....) It was very nice.
My husband is the sweetest man ever! Last night we were watching CSI, and I was sitting on my recliner with my feet up. Jeff got up from the couch and kissed my poor swollen ankles. It was so sweet and cute, it brought tears to my eyes! I love that man!
I'm off today (it's Tuesday) and E. is in Japan, so work this week will be easier with no patients. Just lots of filing a nd paperwork to catch up on. And then next week, and I'm done! Woohoo! It's hard to believe that we'll be moving and having our baby boy so soon! Wow. |
