| yikes! |
I have had to pee all day. I am having crampy, pulling sensations in my lower abdomen all day. I am almost a week away from being able to take a pregnancy test. I am crazy. Well, not that crazy. Crazy is my husband and his best friend strapping our bed (it started squeaking and it's only a year old) atop a Chevy Suburban in the rain (it's almost 8:00pm right now) and going to Costco to return it and get a new bed. (Also strapping it atop said Suburban in the rain) Why crazy? Well, because this Chevy's registration expired in October 2003. It's not my husband's friend's car. No, he didn't steal it. (He gave up GTA for Lent...) He is trying to sell it for a friend of his bosses. But, you see... the registered owner died a few months back. So imagine, if you would, how difficult this scenario would be to digest if you were say... the policeman who pulled them over? "Registration please?" "Um, yes... but I have to explain something to you first officer... " I just hope they make home without incident. I'm going to go finish making pasta now. |

| Gettin' fat on Fat Tuesday! |
Happy Mardi Gras! Mmm...chocolate. I've taken some good advice. Today I've had many Dove heart shaped chocolates, and about three huge spoonfuls of Dreyers Double Fudge Brownie ice cream. Must stop now! :) Also I drove to the beach and took 100 pictures of the ocean, and seagulls, and such with my nifty digital camera. The weather started off drizzling, but quickly turned sunny and warm. It was nice and cathartic, actually. Plus, I chased the gulls a bit to make them take flight for my photos. That was fun. There were tiny baby gulls too! They are so cute! Too bad when they grow up, they turn into discusting scavangers. But, they add to the ambiance of the seaside, I suppose. The other things I have done today are: Made lovin' this morning with my hubby. (Note to spermies: Swim damn you, swim!!!) About 3 loads of laundry, which I must soon fold Illegally downloaded music Surfed eBay Watched 4 Tivod episodes of a Baby Story, and stuff from Food Network. Ate breakfast (Raisin Bran Crunch!) which I rarely do, but if I am preggers, I must start again. Ate lunch, leftover dinner from last night, Pasta shells with pork sausage and motzerella tomato cream sauce.... mmm. Artery clogging goodness! Chocolate (see above) Loaded the dishwasher, and started dishes Ate a bag of super butter popcorn Engaged in an embarrasing amount of playing this game That's all... A not-so-productive day off... full of caloric intake, and tv to rot my brain. Mmhmm. Back to work tomorrow. Well, I suppose I will go and fold laundry now. Bye. |

| Is that the language of love? |
Have you heard the two Tori Amos songs from the Mona Lisa Smiles Soundtrack? I downloaded them. Murder, he says, and You belong to me. They are fabulous. I think she should do an entire album like that. Very 40s- 50s sounding... a Judy Garland, type of sound. I have heard she has a cameo in the movie. Might be worth checking it out for that alone. Anyway... making dinner. I am in the 2 week wait til I can see if I'm pregnant again. I hope we caught it this time!! And I hope it sticks like Velcro. Bye bye |

| Yoga, popcorn for dinner, and baby babble |
Nope, false alarm, I'm not pregnant. Although I just may be crazy! But you already knew that. I peed on a stick today. Big fat negatore. Bummer. My period should show up in a matter of a few days. The hag! Anyway, I am sore from twisting myself into pretzel shapes. (yoga) But I actually like it! I have done it twice this week, which is precisely 100% more than any other activity remotely resembling cardio I have engaged in the past several months. Go me! Also, I have aquired about 1/2 of the new Norah Jones album... from, let's just say... only slightly legal means, in case the evil RIAA is lurking over my shoulder. It rocks most rightously. I had a Peanut butter and honey whole wheat pita pocket and a Nestle Quick Double Chocolate milk for dinner. Also - earlier in the evening an entire bag of movie theater super-butter popcorn, and a Newcastle beer. Because I am an adult. Because I can. And for no other reason... Hubby is doing Poker night with the boys tonight. It's a 12 person tournament, actually. It started 3 1/2 hours ago, so since he's not home yet, I hope he's winning. I have no idea what I hope to accomplish this weekend... I think on Sunday we will jaunt up to the Cesspool, er, the City, and poke around music stores and the like. And perhaps go to our favorite Victorian Punch House in the Haight and while away a few hours over a bowl of punch. Yummy alcoholic punch, that is. Sigh. I can't wait until I'm pregnant again.... there is only so much distraction that I can handle. My work is suffering right now, I am always on Babycenter when I should be working. I mean I do a fairly good job, but I'm only going through the motions. And sometimes I forget to do things I need to do. That's what I mean. Anyway... I watched a buttload of TiVo earlier, and it's raining now. Not that those two things are in any way realated, but I'm feeling rather random right now. I'm going to go drink some more while I still can. Then it's back to 9 months of Sobriety Nation for my happy ass. I cannot wait until that little stick has two lines show up again. My sanity hinges on peeing on a $10 piece of plastic... It's pathetic. |
